1. General Description
- The Data Modular Sync is a custom-built electronic device designed for secure, one-way data transmission over the internet.
- The device ensures reliable, tamper-proof, and uninterrupted data communication for remote sites.
2. Functional Requirements
- One-Way Data Communication
- Device support unidirectional data transfer (Tx only).
- No incoming communication or external control should be allowed to maintain data integrity and security.
- Internet-Based Operation
- Communication work over public or private internet networks.
- Device automatically connect using Ethernet or optional 4G/5G modem.
- Auto-reconnect functionality included in case of network downtime.
- Data Encryption
- All outgoing data packets be end-to-end encrypted.
- Minimum encryption standard: AES-256, or equivalent modern encryption.
- Secure key exchange must be supported (RSA-2048 or better).
- Data Packet Handling
- Support dynamic packet size.
- Packet checksum or hash verification (SHA-256) must be used.
- Buffer capability to store data temporarily if network unavailable.
